The BIOMIC V3 Microbiology System now provides automated reading, interpreting and recording of 96 well microtiter plates. This greatly improves accuracy, speed, and standardization relative to manual reading. All test plate images and results are viewed and saved. BIOMIC V3 reads all 96 well formats including MicroScan® (Siemens) AST* & ID plates, Sensititre® (TREK) AST* & ID plates, and custom plates.
BIOMIC V3’s advanced color digital imaging technology also automates the reading, interpretation, and reporting of CLSI/EUCAST/BSAC antibiotic disk diffusion tests, Etests® (bioMerieux), chromogenic agar, and commercial identification panels including RapIDTM (Remel), API® (bioMerieux), BBLTM CrystalTM (BD). The addition of a bar code reader coupled with bi-directional LIS/LIMS interface capability further speeds workflow. BIOMIC V3 serves as a primary or secondary AST-ID system for microbiology laboratories of all sizes and setups.
